Weyford News
Last summer, Year 2 were given sunflower seeds to grow in a national competition, run by Meadfleet.
The children planted two seeds at school each and took one home to grow. We were delighted to receive photos over the summer of how the sunflowers were growing. We were able to submit these photos and ones from our sunflowers at school to Meadfleet.
We are delighted to announce that we were chosen as one of the winning schools and have received vouchers to spend at B&Q to develop our outside area further.
We would also like to say a huge congratulations to our 3 runners-up in the competition: Tyler, Savannah and Harvey. And our 3 winners, who Meadfleet felt performed the best in the competition: Harrison, Eloise and James.
Well done to all who took part.
Well done to our children from Meadow Building who took part in the Harvest Festival at St Mark's Church on Thursday.
The singing was beautiful, with lovely clear reading from children from Year R, 1 & 2.
Reverend Deborah was over joyed by the generous donations from the children for the Bordon Food Bank and gave thanks for our offering.
