Welcome to Weyford Nursery and Primary Academy and to our website. We are proud to be part of the University of Chichester Academy Trust and we have benefitted from working with them to support both the children at Weyford and to develop the learning community in Bordon. We really hope that you enjoy looking around and finding out more about us. We appreciate that a website cannot fully capture the supportive, positive ethos of our school and so we hope that you will also give us an opportunity to show you around the school in person. Please telephone the school office or email us via the contact page to make an appointment. If you are already part of our school community, we hope that you find the website a useful way of keeping up to date with everything that is happening at Weyford; please let us know your views.
Weyford Nursery and Primary Academy is one of the very few schools in Hampshire with its own nursery which is run and organised by a qualified teacher. We know that nursery provision has an enormous impact on children’s future life chances and all our evidence indicates that the children who attend our nursery school go on to do very well. We feel very privileged to be able to offer this resource and to give so many children such a good start in their school life.
Weyford Nursery and Primary Academy is a values driven school with the values of respect, kindness, teamwork, inclusivity, aspiration and achievement underpinning everything we do. We believe that children learn best when they are happy, well cared for and secure in themselves. We work hard to build supportive relationships between all the adults and children to make sure that everybody enjoys their time in the school. We expect all members of our school community to take age appropriate responsibility for their own actions and learning. We have high expectations of everybody and provide the children with a wide range of challenging and engaging opportunities so that they can achieve at a high level.
As a school, we do not work in isolation and we value the partnership between school and home. We support parents and children through a range of fun and educational opportunities and will always try and work with our families in any way that we can. We believe that children are most successful when school and home work together. We also work in very close partnership with a range of pre-school providers and the local secondary schools. We see ourselves as a very important part of your child’s life and education and want to work with the other people in your child’s life to ensure that your child enjoys and develops well throughout the nursery/ primary years. We hope you share our vision of "Working Together for Excellence".
We all look forward to welcoming you to our school and one of us will always be very happy to meet with you.
Mr C James (Headteacher)
