At Weyford Nursery and Primary Academy we aim to:
Create the opportunity for every child to learn a musical instrument
Play and perform, using voices and musical instruments with increasing accuracy, control, and expression
Improvise and compose music for a range of purposes
Listen with attention to detail and recall sounds
Use and understand staff and other musical notations
Appreciate and understand a range of live and recorded music drawn from different traditions
Kapow Music
We use the excellent resources at Kapow to give every pupil clear pathways for progression that enable them to develop their musical knowledge.
