Today Year 2 held a reconstruction of 'The Great Fire of London'. Over 40 Tudor houses (very few in comparison to the 13200 destroyed in 1666) formed part of Pudding Lane where the fire started. The houses in 1666 were built very close together with small alleyways between, Year 2 placed their houses close together in two lines to replicate this.
Once all the houses were in place and Year 2 were safely away, one house had a small fire lit in it, and the rest as they say, is history. The wind off the back of Storm Ciara helped to fuel the fire and spread it along the houses.
