Tuesday 2.7.19 We explored how we would train our dragons to help us add the final preparations to our set of instructions.
On Monday 24th June we had a fantastic trip to the Ageas Bowl in Southampton to watch the Cricket World Cup match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan. For many of us, this was our first live sporting fixture we had attended and it was a brilliant day!
14.06.19 Today Year 4 had their topic day on the Vikings. We had a go at writing our names using Viking runes; made viking jewellery; and played some Viking PE games (cross the sea in longboats and looting). It was lots of fun!
05.06.19 Today we built something that would protect an egg being dropped from a height. Each group had a budget of £5 and had to "buy" their supplies. These were the teams that saved their egg. The winning team, who had the most money left at the end, were Emily, Laura, Erien and Lilly. Congratulations!
16.05.19 Today in Maths we used our money knowledge to buy different games on The Entertainer website. We had a budget of £175 and had to buy as many different games and toys as possible!
26.04.19 Today, Year 4 had their topic day on Habitats and Survival. We had a busy day of finding and investigating insects, sketching the natural surroundings, planting sunflowers and building bug hotels and womeries!
01.03.19 We had lots of fun replicating a volcanic eruption using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar!
4.2.19 We had a fantastic day today celebrating Chinese New Year. We made shadow puppets inspired by Chinese traditions; took part in a Chinese dancing workshop and explored the Chinese alphabet.
01.02.19 Snow Day! Year 4 loved going down to the woods to look at the wildlife and then play in the snow!
In the penultimate week before Christmas, Year 4 performed the songs they have been learning in their music lessons with their Listen 2 Me teacher. Both classes performed a medley of songs on the keyboard to an audience of extremely impressed parents and staff. Well done!
