Welcome to Robin Class 2019
Class Teacher : Sarah Ford
Teaching Assistants: Becky Bird Jan Burge Emma Edwards Tina Baird
This half term in Robin class we are getting to know our new children and welcoming back the children from last term!
We will be spending lots of time outdoors so please remember to bring a coat and change of clothes every day. Please encourage your child to try and put their own coat on and try to zip it up!
We have enjoyed looking at mini beasts in the wildlife area and exploring the school environment looking for signs of Autumn.
So far we have really enjoyed dressing up as doctors, paramedics and nurses. We learnt the word stethoscope and we listened to heart beats and took blood pressure as we played.
Next week we will be turning the nursery into a building site as we investigate how builders help us especially as many children live in newly built houses in Bordon.
As we approach Christmas we will start to learn our Christmas songs and get ready for out first nativity.
Please remember our performance will be on Wednesday 11th December at 9.30 and there will be refreshments afterwards for children ans parents.
Happy New Year
This term we are looking at food and how to keep healthy.
We have been reading the Hungry Caterpillar and Handas Surprise.
We are really interested in the cocoon and how the caterpillar makes the cocoon. We have made cocoons out of play doh and we have been playing a matching game.
Please talk to your child about their favourite fruit and vegetables.
We have been reading Handa's Surprise and enjoying learning about all the fruits the animals steal from the basket! We practised carrying the basket on our head.
We have been learning about Super heroes . We have read Super Worm, Super tato and Even Super heroes use the potty.
We loved dressing up for Super hero day .
This week lots of children were able to experience a trip to the library.
We walked to the library and looked at the river on the way. We listened to a story and practised scanning books in and out.
