Science is a building block to understanding the world around us. At Weyford Nursery and Primary Academy, from Year R all the way to Year 6, we are building onto the blocks with every step that our children take as they journey through the specific disciplines of physics, chemistry and biology. They will understand that science has irreversibly changed our lives and will continue to do so through the continued learning of our children as they become our future scientists and leaders.  

Throughout their seven years with us, our children will understand their place in the world around them, from the vocabulary involved in how the world changes with seasons and weather to the changes that occur to different materials to how power such as electricity has changed everything that we do. They will gain a curiosity and excitement about natural and man-made phenomena by being immersed in first-hand experiments and experiences such as trips.
