How to apply for a place at Weyford Primary School

Applications for school places can be completed online (click here) or you can collect a paper copy of the application form from the school office.

Places are allocated in accordance with the published admissions policy.

Reception Places September 2026

The deadline for main round applications for Reception in September 2026 is 15 January 2026. You can, however, apply at any time for a school place. Parents will be notified about main round applications to Reception on 16 April 2026.

It is possible to submit a late application form.

If you haven't been to look round our school yet, then it is not too late. Just give our office a call (01420 472119) or email us (admin@weyfordprimary.chimat.uk) and we will be happy to set up a tour to show you our wonderful school.

Applications for Year 1 to Year 6

Applications for other year groups are welcome throughout the year. Applications can be completed online (click here) or you can collect a paper copy of the application form from the school office. We recognise that changing school can be a challenging time. We are here to help, so please do give our office a call (01420 472119) or email us (admin@weyfordprimary.chimat.uk). We look forward to meeting you and your children and working with you to ensure a smooth transition.

Nursery

Parents of any child living in the local area may apply for a nursery place. Enquiries can be made in the school office. New Nursery children can start at the start of September, January and following the Easter break. Each child will have a home visit as part of this transition process and a stay and play in order to help them settle in the environment and get to know the Nursery team. 

Children may apply for a childcare place in Weyford Nursery from 2 years 6 months. Places will be offered subject to availability after each school holiday. i.e. November, January, February, April and June. Sessions cost £16.50 for a morning/afternoon session or £33 a day. 

The term after the child has turned 3, they are entitled to 15 hours free childcare a week (You may be able to apply for up to an additional 15 hours per week).

Where there are more applications than places, priority will be given to older children using the criteria outlined in the Nursery Admissions Policy.

The University of Chichester Academy Trust is the admission authority for its schools and the timetable for Admissions Appeals is available on its website along with further Appeals Information. All academies within the Trust participate in the co-ordinated admission arrangements operated by the local authority where they are located.
